A weekend of Celebration

Friday night mother and I went to David's Bridal to try on wedding gowns. Especially since the wedding got moved up from October to August. I had no intention of finding a dress, my thoughts were that I was simply going to "browse". Shannon met us up there when I had the first dress on. I could tell from her faces alone that she was not a fan.

I tried on a total of 4 dresses and ended up being sold with the last one. It is stunning and elegant and I feel beautiful in it. I was shockingly surprised because I thought I was going to have to do hard core work at the gym, but it looks like some minor upkeep will serve me just lovely. I inspired another bride to be to try on the first dress I had on.

I also had Shannon try on the bridesmaid dress and good thing because we found out that the truffle color does not look as good as it did online so we are sticking with the latte/mocha color.

So it was decided last night that today we would come back and purchase the dress, the veil, my corsage bra, and slip. David's mom met us this morning at 10 and I tried the dress on for her also. She stated that David's eyes were going to pop out of his head when he saw me in my gown on our wedding day.

I also looked at shoes and know which ones I want (just have to go back and order them), set up my alteration appointment, made an appointment for my bridesmaids to come try on their dresses, and made a tux appointment. Dang I feel good. Haha

After that we went to Michael's to purchase 180 fake flowers for the centerpieces since all floral was 40% off ending today. We also got some other crafty related items to experiment with for various decor ideas. I was very pleased with the progress.

I love wedding planning!

congratulations on such an exciting time for you and your husband to be. you are the virtuous wife that Proverbs 31:10-31 is referring to.

Proverbs 31:30
"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."
